Pearle Vision - Big RipOff!
I paid over $400 for a super nice set of glasses. When they came in they were thicker than pop bottles! I bought titanium rimless frames for the lightweight effect, and they put 3 pds of glass in each lens! Really! I had them checked by other optometrist and there's no way they should be so thick. I went back to Pearle Vision to discuss it. My lens prescription was checked as being right and I was told they had to be that thick for the type of frame (rimless). So I was stuck, embarrassed to wear them, left them in a drawer and went to cheap reader glasses. I recently got an eye exam, they're in pretty good shape. So I check with Pearle Vision again, explained that I've never wore ugly expensive glasses, I have a new script and am curious how much it would cost to keep my awesome frames and how thick would the lens be. I was assured the lens would be thin and the cost for lens is $380 because the "cost is in the lense" I told her that would mean I'd have over $700 invested in one pair of glasses. Nope, I'm not doing that. She said ok and I hung up!
I have just bought a set of lenses for $106.85 -

My Pearle glasses weren't even Photochromic! So $70.90 would be equal to the Pearle glasses. What a load of *** "the cost is in the lens" as you can see IS A LIE
