Imust say that I do agree that I would never buy another pair of glasses from pv and Iwill let other people in the area know how bad the product is along with customer service seeing how Iwent in to the store on June 21 2011, talked to the lady about the lenses cracking and the scratches on them and told her that Ialways cleaned them with a cloth she told me she would sell me another set of lenses half price all else you would have thought they would haved tried to at least made the 1 right that was cracking seeing how the glasses were purchased in nov of 2010 so I suggest if you want a good pair pf glasses avoid going to pv.

I can assure you, as an experienced optician (ABO certified) and lab technician, lenses can crack by themselves. If you are seeing this happen soon after purchase, it is usually caused by the lens being cut a bit too large for the frame. The lab technician, hoping to cut down on loss, decides to tighten the eyewire has much has he can. This causes stress on the lens and eventually, they crack... usually along the edges of the eyewire. Look where the screw is put it. Does it look as though the barrels are not coming together? I would put money on it that the cracks people are talking about that appear only weeks after purchase are stress fractures. DEMAND NEW LENSES!

I can ASSURE you that lenses by PV don't just crack. ALL LENSES can crack from anywhere you go. As far as buying glasses at Walmart... I would not trust my vision with the same place I can buy my toilet bowl cleaner. Lenses do not just crack by themselves. When using the wrong cleaner with your glasses, and the different chemicals they use cause a reaction in the lens. If you use the proper cleaner, I ASSURE you that your lenses won't crack.

Serious?: I can assure you that the cracking of lenses DOES happen....because the same thing happened to me after only having my PV glasses for three weeks. The left hand lense developed a crack from top to bottom. I too only used the cloth given by PV. I have NEVER had that happen before in my 17+ years of wearing glasses. I will never return to a PV, and instead will give my eye business to Walmart. I only used PV because my Dr. at Walmart was out that week and it was the only time I could go in....never again.

Glasses from Pearl Vision apparently DO crack for no reason. My husband and I both purchased glasses from PV two weeks ago. When we were in the store, a gentleman came in quite upset because his wife's glasses had what appeared to be cracks at the tops of both lenses. PV staff was very unhelpful and said that it was his wife's fault. Well, my husband's glasses are doing the exact same thing....after only two weeks...and we have only used the cloth provided by PV and when not worn they are kept in the case. I have worn glasses for almost 30 years and have never seen a pair of glasses crack at the tops like that, yet have seen two with the identical problem from the same PV location. We are going in this afternoon to hopefully have them replaced...not holding my breath but am preparing to fight them on it.

Lenses don't just crack by themselves. You can't tell me that you have just been using a cloth only for 8 months? Many things can cause lenses to crack. Tap Water, Windex, eyeglass cleaner from a drug store, department store etc... You have to take care of your glasses properly
