Had an exam.,rec'd RX for glasses, picked up the glasses and when I put them on I was unable to see. The clerk told me to wear them for four days as my eyes had to adjust(I could not see even tho I tried to wear them), I took them back and was told unable to give me back my money on the RX as no else could use it. I could not even use them as again I was unable to see out of the glasses, I can see better with my $20.00 pair of readers. They owe me $136.00 for R. I am soooooooooooo mad about this I could scream. What does one do? If anyone has suggestions please let me know.

If you are in a progressive it does take a bit of time to get use to. You genereally have 30 days to return them to get lenses repaired. also if you are in a progressive it could just be a minor issue as far as having the frame adjusted. when you are measured for a progression you need to wear your glasses at the exact spot you had them on when measurement are takin due to the seg height. there is some room for play but not much at all. Maybe 2 to 3 mm. hope this helped. I would suggust takin them back and asking them to remeasure the seg height if you are in a progression.

You need to write the Better Business Bureau. That is what just happened to me with 2 pairs of glasses. I won't let $500.00 go down the drain!!!

Pearle Vision I am pretty sure offers a satisfaction gaurantee. It sounds to me like the Optician should have double checked the RX in the glasses and if it had been filled correctly and you were still not able to adjust to them there can be a number of reasons why they do not work (right down to the material of lens). It was the opticians duty to problem solve this and if nothing else you should go back to your optometrist to double check the correct RX was prescribed. The other thing is the Optician was correct in saying there is an adjustment period..this means no flip flopping between old and new glasses (i know its so hard not to do) Sorry about your luck tho that really sucks esp when glasses are not cheap :(
